Digerati were approached in early 2020 by the Diocese of Parramatta to undertake an audit of their digital infrastructure. This initial audit has since grown into a long-standing partnership, resulting in the redevelopment of the main diocese website, as well as the migration, consolidation and management of over 30 websites.

Key Functionality
Find A Mass
The website’s “Find a Mass” feature enables visitors to filter and search for upcoming Mass times by day, service type, language, and location. Results are displayed on both an interactive map and a detailed table, providing a user-friendly experience for parishioners to find Masses that suit their needs.
Events Calendar
We introduced comprehensive event functionality, which includes customisable registration forms, online payment processing via BPoint, support for recurring events, and the option to display events in either a grid or calendar format.
Online Store
The integration of WooCommerce helped streamline the purchase and distribution of sacramental resources for the Diocese. The implementation assisted admins with order and inventory management, whilst dedicated user accounts enables parishioners and clergy to access their order history and repeat purchases more easily.
Purposeful Design
Being one of the most diverse dioceses in Australia, it was imperative that our design decisions were purposeful and user-centred. To achieve this, we:
- Conducted comprehensive strategy workshops to understand the diverse needs of the community
- Developed detailed user journeys and personas to guide our design process
- Implemented responsive design principles to ensure accessibility across all devices and browsers
These efforts ensured that the final product would effectively serve the varied needs of the diocese’s community, providing an inclusive digital experience. The resulting website not only meets current needs but is also flexible enough to adapt to future requirements of their dynamic user base.
Full Page Editing
The implementation of WordPress Gutenberg empowers diocese administrators to easily manage and update website content without requiring extensive technical knowledge.
The custom interface allows for the simple creation and modification of pages, posts, and custom content types, reducing the reliance on external technical support and enabling the diocese to keep its digital platforms current and engaging with minimal effort.
